Which xampp for joomla 1.5
I know Joomla docs has install instructions, but, to the best of my knowledge, they appeared after my first article on installing Joomla! I am glad to see that there are more sites doing comprehensive articles.

I'm using 7-Zip. You'll see a single folder called xampplite. Drag that folder to the root directory of your C drive. I know that you don't normally put stuff right there in the root directory, but in this case, it's the best place for it.
